2017 Fantasy baseball rankings for pitchers in week 6 finds Chris Sale still hanging onto the top spot, followed by Max Scherzer and Clayton Kershaw to round out the top 3. The skills from this top 3 set of fantasy baseball all stars is well supported by stellar core skills, high swinging strike rates along with outstanding first pitch strike rates. Kershaw’s numbers are actually the weakest among the top 3 which could be considered a surprise although this group of pitchers is really really good.

In the next tier we see Keuchel and Samardzija followed by Grienke and Archer. Of these 4 pitchers, I’m picking Keuchel to be the one who falls out of the top tiers due to his 92% LOB and .209 BABIP, both of which should regress in the other direction sooner rather than later. On the hand, Samardzija is turning out be quite the surprise exhibiting great control, a high K/9 with extremely low LOB of 59% and a BABIP .343. Of the two, I’d be holding on to Samardzija while trying to sell high on Keuchel.

As always, sharing is welcome and if you’ve got an opinion, I’d love to hear it so feel free to drop a comment below. Until next week, good luck with all your fantasy baseball teams.
